Friends of La Peña Immigrant Rights (flpir.org) is a diverse group of people concerned with the vastly-increased threat to immigrant rights underway in the United States. We were inspired by a “Know Your Rights” presentation in December 2024 at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley, California.  

We focus on providing educational workshops and materials that explain immigrant constitutional rights, including for those who are undocumented. We also protest violations and abuses of these rights, as well as advocate for a just and humane immigration policy in the US with local, state and the U.S. governments.
