As ICE operations spread fear and danger in the Twin Cities, Minnesotans show the power of kindness, courage and community-wide peaceful actions as they unite with immigrant neighbors. The new documentary from Not In Our Town and Filmmaker Patrice O’Neill includes portraits of Minnesotans from all walks of life making their voices heard: Clergy, teachers, local officials, journalists, unions and business owners overcoming their own fears to stand with their neighbors and for our freedoms as Americans. Immigrants and Indigenous communities  finding ways to support one another despite real threats to their safety and livelihoods. Parents, students, retirees and newly activated Minnesotans who brave the winter cold to deliver groceries, offer rides, protest and work together to create a safety net for those under threat.  The courage and compassion of people in Minnesota provide a model for the country for how local communities can band together to protect and support each other from emerging threats.

Your donation will enable the NIOT Team to continue production in the coming weeks. The goal is to complete a short documentary by Fall 2026 for release  through community screenings and public media.

Thank you for YOUR courage in supporting this vital film project!
