Green Cities Fund co-founder Tom Miller assisted in the establishment of La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley, California over 40 years ago. La Peña was started by a group of Latin American & Californian allies as a direct response to the military coup in Chile that overthrew the democratically elected socialist government of Dr. Salvador Allende on September 11, 1973.
